An international seminar based on Italian Opera conducted by world renowned conductor Riccardo Muti will take place in Valletta, Malta, to mark the official launch by the Maltese Government of the Mediterranean Music Academy – Malta.
The seminar will focus on:
- the rehearsal process of an opera production
- rehearsing the orchestra
- working with the singers
- rehearsing the choir
- organizing the representation (M°Carla Delfrate)
The seminar is an opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss with Mro. Riccardo Muti the process of producing an opera performance. Participants will be able to follow all the rehearsals for the production of Donizetti’s Don Pasquale as well as the performance of Stabat Mater of Pergolesi and Salve Regina of Porpora which will be conducted by Riccardo Muti.
Mro. Muti will be working with the Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini, and the Coro del Teatro Municipale di Piacenza.
The soloists for all performances include: Barbara Frittoli, Monica Bacelli, Laura Giordano, Mario Zeffiri, Mario Cassi, Nicola Alaimo, Gabriele Spina.
